4/19: Flyering for May Day events

Join us as we spread the word about our lineup of May Day events! We’ll meet at the office and head out to different neighborhoods to make sure we are reaching a wide audience. No vehicle required, but if you’re bringing one (and willing to drive other comrades around) please indicate that on your RSVP!

4/27: Know Your Rights canvass (with Immigrant Justice!)

Join us to distribute posters and Know Your Rights red cards to local businesses and members of our community!

4/28: May Day Education event (Screening of We Mean to Make Things Over: A History of May Day with Discussion from Education Board)

7PM – 8:15pm | Carr Auditorium at Zuckerberg General Hospital

Come learn about the history of May Day with a screening of We Mean to Make Things Over: A History of May Day with discussion and supplemental materials from the Education Board! We’ll learn how May Day became an international holiday and look at cartoons and other propaganda from past May Day celebrations. 

4/29: Maker Tuesday

7PM – 9PM | 1916 McAllister

Support chapter work through art or bring your own project and come hang out. We’ll be crafting for the May Day rally by making buttons, signs, and more. See you there! Masks encouraged and provided.

5/1: May Day Rally!

Happy hour afterwards 8PM @ Tempest Bar & Box Kitchen (2940 431 Natoma St)

DSA SF is endorsing the Immigrant & Workers Rights: One Struggle, One Fight! rally and march on May 1st, better known as International Workers’ Day. Join our DSA SF contingent to commemorate the long history of labor resistance and take to the streets to say NO to attacks on workers, immigrants, students, and the international working class. 5/11: Hygiene Kit Assembly

9AM – 11AM | 1916 McAllister

Join the DSA SF Labor Board and Homelessness Working Group in a May Day celebration. We’ll assemble hygiene kits to distribute to our homeless neighbors and talk about ways to come together in community to keep each other safe in the face of state-sanctioned violence. All ages welcome!

5/20: Socialist Night School: Salting

Curious about salting? Heard the term but not sure what it means? Interested in learning about salting opportunities in the Bay Area? Join the Labor Board for a Socialist Night School on salting. We’ll learn about salting strategies, examine past SF wins, and hear about current opportunities to salt a workplace.
