There will be three events on May 1. Please choose whichever one works best for you. Get ready to show up, wear red, and stand in solidarity with the international working-class and demonstrate our collective strength here in San Francisco. If you are a DSA SF member, go to our Slack and look for Signal groups for each event (in one-big-slack channel). Also, find our contingents at each event by looking for our red DSA SF flags. 🚩

May Day Protest at SFO –  11AM at SFO International Terminal, departures area (outside) Protest at SFO to demand better working conditions for union airport workers in USWW and also to demand ICE out of SFO and for the airport not to be used as a place to detain immigrants!! Meet at SFO International Terminal, departures area outside on the sidewalk at 10:45AM 🚩

SF Workers’ Needs Over Billionaires’ Greed Rally & March – 2PM at Civic Center Plaza

DSA SF will have a contingent at this major May Day rally and march. Join us as we stand in solidarity with SF workers, immigrant rights groups, fair housing advocates, SFUSD students, and many others.  March will make it ways to Embarcadero with stops to target various businesses that have been complicit with the Trump administration and ICE. 🚩

Workers Over Billionaires March with the San Francisco Labor Council – 4PM at Embarcadero Plaza 

Continue the day of international solidarity and action by joining unions and community allies to demand a city (and a world) that puts workers over billionaires. 🚩

Petition: SAN FRANCISCO, DIVEST NOW!

Despite being a progressive city, San Francisco invests millions of dollars in corporations that are complicit in the genocide and apartheid of the Palestinian people, facilitates ICE in the kidnapping of our immigrant community, and furthers the climate crisis. In January 2024, San Francisco was a leading voice in passing a ceasefire measure to demand an end to Israel’s genocide of the Palestinians and the US’s role in contributing to the death toll of Gazans, which now officially stands at 70,000. Yet, the City and County of San Francisco continues to invest in well-known corporations that facilitate the genocide and apartheid of Palestinians and the over-militarization of our city streets. These investments are managed under a “socially responsible” policy that already discourages investments in tobacco, firearms, and the Dakota Access Pipeline but remains silent on genocide, apartheid, and immigrant detention. As San Franciscans, we think there is nothing “socially responsible” about investing in war, militarization, and climate destruction.
